I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1994 since then I have worked with adolescence and adults in various NHS services throughout Cambridgeshire. I am currently a NHS Consultant Specialist Clinical Psychologist. I have supervised many qualified clinical psychologists, trainee clinical psychologists and colleagues from other mental health professional groups in the use of psychological therapies. I maintain good working relationships with all specialist mental health services throughout the county.
I have worked in private practice since 1999. I am registered with all main private health providers and have worked for a number of local legal providers.
I have worked as a CBT therapist in clinical trials and have ongoing research links with the University of Cambridge.

Therapeutic Approach
The main therapeutic approach that I use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This is an evidence based therapy recommended by NICE (National Institute in Clinical Excellence), as having been proven to be an effective treatment for a range of mental health problems. Third wave cognitive therapies such as Mindfulness based CBT, Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) are also used as are techniques from schema based therapy where indicated as helpful. I am also a qualified EMDR practitioner which is a therapy recommended by NICE for the successful treatment of trauma.
